D's Magnolia started because I wanted to find an unique place in the heart of a downtown. Every time that I found one I would just sit there and dream of what I could do.
Well here I am and loving every minute of it.
I am Delores and have been a chef for (how many years?) oh well a long time. Eventually I worked my way out into the public area. A whole new world opened up for me. I was able to talk to the customers and find what they wanted.
First, I had to learn how to wait on tables, then tend bar. Now this was not fun. You need to use finesse, which is not my strongest suit. But I learned and I loved it. Working with the public is the best part. Going back into the kitchen and inventing new dishes is the best part. Coming up with some unreal dessert is the best part. Shopping for the freshest ingredients is the best part. Finding new products from all over the northwest is the best part. Just making my customers happy is THE BEST PART.

Then top it off with blackberry cobbler topped with Umpqua French vanilla ice cream, or an old fashion bread pudding topped with custard sauce, maybe a huckleberry ice cream pie and many more.
We are able to work around most special diets.
